What Women Want Presents Furla and I

Nikki Beach Miami hosted their signature fashion series,  What Women Want, on Saturday, February 18 at 7:00 PM.  Highly esteemed Italian Designer Furla presented Furla and I, their Spring 2012 handbag and accessory line. Guests enjoyed dining at our lovely beachfront restaurant before the show, all while sipping complimentary champagne.

The Furla collection for spring-summer 2012 is a rich travel diary filled with visual and tactile notes on the Mediterranean and Italian tradition. The colors of nature: the blue of the sky, the black and white of rocks and pebbles, the warm earth tones such as honey, red and yellow, with gold and silver accents. The materials: bull hides, vintage-effect leather, coarse salt-and-pepper canvas, as well as reptile skin and materials of high-tech inspiration such as neoprene.

To emphasize the elegant accessories, models were dressed in stunning yet simple sheaths from designer Alexis. Hair and makeup for models that walked in the show was done by one of Miami’s hottest salons, Rocco Donna.

What Women Want and Nikki Beach proudly supported the American Heart Association and their Go Red For Women campaign, promoting heart health awareness. Furla graciously donated one of its stunning handbags to a gift basket which will also have several other wonderful items, including an exquisite caftan by Alexis, and was raffled off to one lucky winner. Nikki Beach donated all raffle proceeds to the American Heart Association.

Designer Showcase directed by New York-based Stylist Gerard Vallecello

MIAMI, FLORIDA (January 2012):  What Women Want, Nikki Beach’s signature fashion and beauty series, presented Designer Showcase on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 7:00-10:00 PM.  This fabulous fashion affair, which drew a huge crowd, was a smashing success; featuring a Resort and Evening show directed by New York-based stylist Gerard Vallecello, with stunning 2012 spring looks from Oscar de la Renta, Michael De Paulo, Yuna Yang, Georges Chakra, Joanna Paige and Aqua di Lara.  While waiting for the fabulous fashion show, guests enjoyed a live musician and guitarist, and a delicious three course dinner specially designed for the evening. The newly re-opened Pearl Restaurant & Champagne Lounge hosted the official Designer Showcase after party, offering fashionistas sweet treats and bubbly to quench their thirst.

Nikki Beach Miami once again partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida raffling an incredible gift basket with loads of goodies from sponsors such as Safar Coiffure Salon, Experience Auto Group, Nikki Beach Lifestyle, and Pearl! All proceeds benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida, whose mission is to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Nikki Beach Miami also partnered with local designer Pachi Lake. Lake donated several items to the Make-A-Wish raffle and collaborated with Experience Auto Group who provided a dazzling array of luxury vehicles to display, including Ferrari, Porsche, Audi and others.
